Lilac City

Lilac’s sprouting in the spring is quite the event for a New Yorker. Winter is somewhat past and the chill somewhat subsides. Giant bushes of lilac – purple, white, and magenta pop all over the city. Uptown in central park, the lilac walk stands with a historic elegance. Lilac perfumes are rare – not easy to copy, even less easy to make it more wearable. Lilac has been relegated to soaps and grandmas. But that doesn’t have to be. The patina of age continues to enchant and inspire. We took a classic purple lilac accord and brought into the present age with bergamot, fancy orris butter, and concrete. A modern clean, fresh lilac at home uptown in the city.
