Currently, we do not offer free samples of our products. However, we provide a selection of sample sets that allow you to explore our full collection. Please note that samples of limited-edition scents are not available, and we do not accept returns or exchanges on Sample Sets.

Orders may take up to 3 business days to ship, especially during peak shipping times. Please note that the processing period may take longer during our Sample Sale and the holiday season. Most orders are shipped via UPS Ground and typically arrive within 5-7 business days, depending on your location. If you've selected Expedited shipping, expect delivery in 3-4 business days.

We're sorry to hear that you'd like to return or exchange your order! Yes, you can return or exchange items purchased from D.S. & Durga within 14 days of receiving your order. Returns are accepted by mail or in-store.
To initiate a return, please contact CS@dsanddurga.com. Items must be returned in unused, unopened condition with original packaging, and a tracking number/proof of delivery is required. Eligible refunds will be processed to the original method of payment.
Please note that certain items, such as limited-edition scents like Studio Juice, sample sets, auto fragrances, and electronic gift cards, cannot be returned. Other restrictions may apply.

Expiration in perfume is a technicality. Eau de parfum by nature is oil sitting in pure alcohol which acts as a preservative. In fact many fumes continue to age as time goes on - as long as they are not subject to drastic temperature, humidity, and sunlight changes.
Some things you may notice after 2 years - chemical interactions with perfume alcohol can cause some materials like citrus to have a bit of an acetone smell.
Our candles are made from soy-vegetable wax and feature a cotton wick, with a burn time of about 60 hours.
For optimal burning, trim the wick to ¼ inch (0.6 cm) before each lighting to avoid smoking and overheating. During the first burn, allow the surface layer to liquefy to the edge to ensure even burns and prevent tunneling—this usually takes about 2 hours.
Always protect the surface the candle sits on and keep it away from drafts.
For safety, never burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Always place it on a heat-resistant surface, and never leave a candle unattended while it’s burning. The candle container will be hot when lit, so allow it to cool completely before moving. Do not burn the candle when the wax level reaches ½ inch (1.3 cm) and keep candles at least 8 inches (20 cm) apart.

As for the shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion used at Thompson Hotels, these items are exclusive to the hotel and are not available for purchase. However, you can bring the scent home with our Bowmakers fragrance.
We do offer Big Sur After Rain hand soap on our website, but please note that the version we offer is liquid, not the foam version found on American Airlines flights.
Unfortunately, we do not sell Radio Bombay lotion or Rose Atlantic lip balm, as these are exclusive amenities for American Airlines and are not available for purchase.

One thing people do not often talk about is our perception of scent changing over time. For example if you are in the room with a strong aroma like a skunk, after a while your brain adjusts to filter it out and you won't notice it as much after a while. The same happens when we wear something over and over again. That is one of the reasons I always suggest rotating a wardrobe of fragrances. It's also the reason that our grandmas smelled so strongly of perfume. They couldn't smell it anymore and doused themselves in their signature scent!
We use both natural and synthetic materials in all of our products and adhere to the latest safety and environmental regulations of the International Fragrance Research Association (IFRA). Naturals vs synthetics in perfume is often misunderstood. Many of the strictest regulations in perfume come from natural materials! Naturals can also pose sustainability problems. Rest assured, we source our juice from the most ethical companies in the world who are at the forefront of material fragrance safety.
