Wipeout!

I dig anywhere by the ocean. I grew up on the coast and love the culture of seaside towns. There’s always a shop with board shorts, towels, & vague activewear covered in tropical plants. You’ll find a monument of overpriced rainbow-hued sunglasses next to dead local trinkets. A sad hat rack with floppy buckets and snap backs advertise the “salt life.” Perhaps a display of signature keychains (whose makers must schvitz trying to keep up with the multitude of first names these days). This store smells of sun tan lotion, coconuts, the sea outside, and flowery soaps purporting to whisk you away to the South Pacific. As if the flower prints on the clothes have come alive.
